This bag is great! From reading the notes on it's project page, I doubly award you for having the wear with all to finish the bag! Being as bored as you were with the single crochet, but then enjoying the detailing of the project!
By lining, adding embellishments, and a zipper you did what it takes to make crochet go from being "good" to GREAT!
